Increase in Building Permits Issued

It’s looking good for Wake County’s building industry. This is especially true in the parts of the county where I-540 is being extended.

The total number of permits for new residential buildings is up 28 percent from last year. The total value of the homes that were issued permits is $558 million – this is up 35% from 2011 and indicates the homes’ average value has increased by about 5 percent.
