In coordination with the Glenwood South Merchant’s Association, Legacy Event Planners is now holding a monthly market held every third Saturday. The markets will feature 40 vendors set up along North Street. Come visit Glenwood South the last Saturday of each month to enjoy the local and regional vendor market.

This year for her birthday, my friend Vicky invited all of us to Wine and Design. Nestled within the neighborhood of Five Points, Wine and Design is a studio where you can paint your very own masterpiece while enjoying any food or beverages that you brought with you. It was really fun and a great way to kick off Vicky’s birthday celebration. Best of all, we each went home with our own piece of artwork that we painted ourselves.

First Friday is a free self-guided tour of downtown’s cultural hot spots that focuses on art, music and food. Local art galleries, art studios and museums stay open late the first Friday of every month to welcome thousands of art-seeking enthusiasts downtown. The event usually runs from 6 until 9pm. Many restaurants and retailers offer First Friday specials too.
The first Friday of every month is a great way to spend an evening downtown with friends. There is always plenty to see and do there. It’s a great way to support local artists too.
